Coral Ring

from £190.00

This ring is made from the recycled precious metal of your choice and inspired by coral. It represents the ‘growth’ category for the ‘Power of Plants’ collection by Lores. This collection focused on the almost magical features of plant life on our planet.

About

  • Most reef-building corals contain photosynthetic algae, called zooxanthellae, that live in their tissues.

  • The corals and algae have a mutualistic relationship.

  • The coral provides the algae with a protected environment and compounds the need for photosynthesis.

  • This algae that lives inside coral is micro-algae (macro-algae is seaweed) and can double in mass in just 24 hours! They might save our future due to their stability in water sources of any size.

  • They can soak up heavy metals, metabolising them into safer chemicals - something humans have had no way of disposing of until now. These undesirable heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury, among others) are produced during the mining process of precious metals and gemstones, and can cause land slides, acid rain, and water pollution.

Please note:

  • If the jewellery contains a gemstone or multiple gemstones, the price is based upon tourmalines and you will be contacted for your choice of gemstone options.

  • Gemstones vary massively in price and it can be hard to choose, luckily one of the team will be excited to talk you through all of your possibilities.

  • Some of these images are CAD renders, this means it is a computer generated image, creating a very close representation of how the finished piece will look without being able to see it in real life.

  • Renders can never be exactly the same as a hand-finished jewellery so please keep that in mind, this is the same for the gemstone colours too.
