Terms and Conditions of Sale

These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of all goods and services by Lores, a sole trader business operated by Lorna McNaught. By engaging in any transaction with Lores, including paying an invoice, you accept these terms in full.

Your access to and use of this website and its services is conditional on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms and Conditions. By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the service.

2. Purchases
If you choose to purchase any product or service through the website, you may be required to provide specific information, including your credit card details, billing, and shipping addresses. By providing this information, you represent and warrant that:

  • You have the legal right to use the payment method(s) provided, and

  • All information you supply is accurate, current, and complete.

By submitting payment information, you grant Lores (operated by Lorna McNaught) the right to share this information with third parties as necessary to facilitate the purchase.

Order Refusal and Cancellation
Lores reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order for reasons including, but not limited to, product availability, inaccuracies in product description or pricing, issues with the order, or suspected fraud or unauthorized transactions.

3. Deposits
A deposit made by bank transfer for any bespoke jewellery order or service provided by Lores is a contractual agreement to these Terms and Conditions.

  • Non-Refundable Nature of Deposits: Deposits are non-refundable as they cover start-up costs, including bespoke jewellery materials and initial labour. Due to the nature of bespoke work, refunds cannot be provided for work already undertaken.

  • Redemption of Deposits: In cases where a client decides not to proceed with a project, Lores offers the option for the deposit to be redeemed in materials or services up to the retail value of the paid deposit. For example, if a client has paid a £1000 deposit for a bespoke ring but does not wish to proceed, they may receive their designs, cad renders, chosen gemstone(s) or materials/services equal in retail value to the deposit.

  • Case-by-Case Basis: Each situation will be evaluated individually. Lores (operated by Lorna McNaught) strives to reach a satisfactory solution for clients wherever possible.

4. Invoices
Upon receipt of invoices, clients should review all details carefully. If there are any discrepancies, errors, or queries regarding the invoice(s) issued by Lores, clients must notify Lorna at Lores within five (5) business days of receipt.

  • Payment Period: Invoices are due for payment within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of issuance unless otherwise agreed in writing. Failure to notify us of discrepancies within the review period will be deemed as acceptance of the invoice.

  • Late Payments: Should payment not be received by the due date, Lores reserves the right to charge a late fee of 1.5% per month, compounded monthly, on any outstanding balance until payment is settled in full.

  • Payment Methods: Lores accepts payment via bank transfer. Payment details will be provided on the invoice.

  • Non-Payment: In the event of non-payment, Lores reserves the right to suspend any ongoing services or product deliveries until the invoice is paid. Unpaid invoices may also be referred to a collection agency, with any associated costs added to the outstanding amount.

  • Returns and Refunds: Customised jewellery is non-refundable. For adjustments or repairs due to manufacturing defects, clients should contact Lores within thirty (30) days of receipt.

  • Currency and Taxes: All invoices are issued in GBP. The client is responsible for any applicable taxes, VAT, duties, or currency conversion fees.
