The Scarab ring was hand-carved from jewellers wax using an ancient tradition of lost wax casting and made into recycled silver. Its design was inspired by the ancient scarabs carved by Egyptians and placed into burial chambers for safe passing into the afterlife. The animal usually chosen for a Scarab was a dung beetle, hence why most people refer to the talismans as ‘Scarab beetles’.
