Jewellery Clean + Polish

£80.00

This service is the base price for a clean and polish, this is not for removing engraving or damage to a piece of jewellery. This is the price per item of jewellery, and does not include any repair costs.

This service also includes a claw check, and we will advise you if we think there is any repair work that your jewellery needs.

Please only purchase this service if you have spoken to one of our team before-hand to make sure it is the best option for you.

Undertaking this service means you understand that sometimes when jewellery is very old, or quite worn, it has been knocked, a claw is loose or a setting is damaged that gemstones can fall out when polishing. If this happens we will contact you, and talk through the next steps for repair. We may be able to fix it easily for you, but sometimes trickier settings can cost us time, so we would have to charge for this.

If you are posting your jewellery to us, know that it is posted at your own risk and Lores is not liable for your jewellery in any way during transit, it is the responsibility of yourself or your mail service. We recommend using Royal Mail ‘Special Delivery’ to post your jewellery, let the Royal Mail staff know that it is jewellery inside your parcel, and that you would like it insured to ‘X’ amount. ‘X’ being the value of your jewellery, if you do not tell them the value they will often automatically insure it to a value of £750. This is what you would receive if it was lost in the mail, so try to be accurate in letting them know the value. Jewellery is only insured upto £2500, anything more than that won’t be covered by royal mail. It is extremely rare that any jewellery is lost in the mail, especially with an insured and tracked service like special delivery, but it’s not unheard of.

If your jewellery is being posted to us, we will provide you with an address after you have purchased this service.

Please let us know at any time if you need more help with this process, and we would be happy to give you some pointers to make it a smooth process for you.
